Revision Energy is an employee-owned solar energy company that is a certified B Corp and was founded in 2003. Revision Energy has installed thousands of solar arrays in businesses and homes, and works closely with customers to secure all available grants, loans and tax incentives available for the project. Revision Energy can also install solar powered heating, hot water, car charging, and backup battery systems. In addition to working with Revision Energy on private sector projects, North Atlantic Restoration recently worked to retro-fit an abandoned elementary school and turn it into an organic granola factory. Revision Energy was there to turn the old ball field into a solar field, making Grandy Oats Granola the first 100% solar powered organic granola factory in the United States.

Murus Structurally Insulated Panels are a specialty panel that replaces the traditional stud wall, which makes them perfect for an exposed timberframe. They provide unparalleled insulation, and cut fuel costs of the home. Murus has a patented cam lock connection system for easy installation, and superb sealing technology. All wood is harvested in partnership with the Sustainable Forest Initiative

Mainely Foam is our choice for efficient, blown in insulation. Spray foam has an R value (the level of insulation effectiveness) of around 6, while all other insulation (besides structurally insulated panels, featured above), has an R Value of around 2-4. Although spray foam is not a sustainable material, it is the most effective material, and the trade off is that your energy usage over your lifetime will be drastically reduced by using spray foam. This is a choice that each homeowner must make, and we present all the possible options. Alternative options include cellulose insulation (made from post-consumer fibers), and spider-foam which is similar to spray foam, but not made from petroleum products. Those products have a lower R value of 2-4.

This image shows a geothermal heating and cooling system for a home. While above ground temperatures fluctuate year round, the temperature underground is relatively stable (think-root cellar). In geothermal HVAC heat from the earth is carried into the house during the winter, and carried away from the house in the summer in a closed loop system. The investment needed to install a geothermal system is high relative to other sustainable systems, but it is a very effective and efficient way of heating and cooling your home.
